I recently got a package in the mail from MAC! It was the stuff I ordered from the Pret a Papier collection that is currently in stores. I have to admit I wasn't too thrilled about this collection as a whole, but there are a few things that are different that I wanted to try and add to my personal collection. Most of the colors are netural based and matte. Not that I don't like neturals, I just wasn't like, "I HAVE TO HAVE EVERYTHING FROM THIS COLLECTION!"
So here is everything I got...
From the Pret a Papier Collection I picked up:
Coral Crepe Paint Pot
Bamboo Matte Eyeshadow
Light over Dark Minerlized Blush
Instant Chic Sheertone Blush
Chromographic Pencil in NW25/NC30
and from the perm. collection I picked up:
Bare Study Paint Pot
Ravishing Creamsheen Lipstick
I picked out the things I thought to be the most unique and multi-use items out of the Pret a Papier collection. I bought the Chomographic Pencil for a couple reasons, 1) being the cute wooden packaging, 2) the various uses it provides. It can be a spot on concealer, a perfect color to brighten up the waterline, a lipliner, and used for a brow highlight, sooo many uses and I'm sure theres more I haven't even discovered yet!
I also got the Light over Dark Minerlized blush because of its multiple uses. It can be used for a bronzer, highlighter, blush and eyeshadow!
I grabbed the Bamboo eyeshadow because it will make a wonderful matte highlighter on my skintone. It's hard to find a color like Bamboo thats matte. It's a beautiful color and the texture is amazing!
Coral Crepe Paint Pot was soo pretty I just had to have it. These can also be used multiple ways. Most use it as an eyeshadow base, which I did today and it is absolutely gorgeous, but they can be used as liners, and if mixed with Fix+ they can be used almost like a cream colored base on lips, cheeks or where ever.
The only blush I liked from this collection was Instant Chic. It's a perfect coraly, peachy pink color and it's a sheertone which means it's completely buildable. I was on a kick for a while to find the perfect simple everyday blush color that complimented my skintone, and I think I've found it!
I might visit my MAC Counter soon to take a look at the lipsticks in person. None of them really stood out to me online so maybe in person they will. But I did get a coral colored lipstick I've been wanting for a while, Ravishing! It's a beautiful creamy coral shade and it goes on like a dream because it is a Creamsheen formula. It really suites to collection! They should've included it! I also got Bare Study Paint Pot, because I've been wanting a champange shimmery base for certain eye looks and this one is perfect. Not to dark not to light, not to gold and not to white.
