Today I have my Nail Polish of the Week. All week I've been wearing Revlon's Minted nailpolish. It's a new shade that came out with their Spring/Summer Collection. I think I might pick up another shade of polish and glosses from this collection. I was impressed more with the shade of the polish then its's formulation when applying it, but I was SUPER impressed with the the all around formulation, pigmentation, ect of the glosses that were released in this collection.
This polish is Minted by Revlon, it reminds me alot of the raved about MAC Peppermint Patty nailpolish that came out with the Sugarsweet Collection a few years back. I never got my hands on it, but I wanted it after the fact and wasn't willing to pay extreme amounts for it. This is a close dupe for that color in my opinion. I love the color when applied, but it took me 3 coats to get the desired shade I wanted. It applied streaky and thin at first, but it worked out in the end with 3 coats being enough to make an opaque shade on my nail. I would say Revlon needs to work on their polish formulations but their shade range in the collection is supurb!
It's a cream formulation with no shimmer or sheen in it, which I like. I've got so many compliments on it and this color will def. be a staple nail color fo summer. It looks great on my tanned skin, but I think this color would make pale skin pop too.
It's just enough of a minty summer green color to get attention, but because it's a milky muted green it's also great for the office or a conservative person as well. I love nail polish that are versitile like this, and I hope I will be able to pick up another one of these before their gone!
Thanks for stopping by!
