Hey Chicas!
Today I have two looks using Urban Decay's Smoke Out Kit. I used this kit to create a daytime pinup-esque look and a night time smokey eye. I like this kit because it is small and straight to the point. It comes with 4 shadow shades, a eyeliner, mini mascara, brush and instruction guide to help achieve the smoke eye!
This kit would be great for a young makeup love, a netural-eye lover, and any newbie to makeup! I love this kit and would recommend to the above mentioned!
It's so cute and small, it fits in the palm of your hand! I think the way it opens up in section is cute and funky too. I love Urban Decay because of their unique products and their ablity to produce quality product with an edge!
The only down side to this kit would be the quantity of product you actually get. I was kind of suprised when I opened the package because the shadow amount was sparse, for me anyway. Some people prefer this because it allows them to use up the product in a sensible amount of time. Also after it is opened there is nothing to keep the layers from opening. So if tossed in your purse it would be in danger of making a mess!
I did these looks with this kit and recorded video tutorials that I have yet to edit and upload! I will have these uploaded by this evening!
Here is the pinup look I created for daytime! I mostly use colors 1, 2, and 3 for this look and a touch of 4 in the outter corner. I used 1 which is a matte white on the lid and as a highlight.
I used 2 a semi matte in my crease and as a blending color and put 3, a sparkly taupe in my crease to deepen the socket area. I used MAC Chromorgraphic Pencil in NW25/NC30 on my waterline to liven up the eyes for daytime.
I barely got a dab of color 4 a shimmery light brown, onto my brush and concentrated that on my outter crase for a little dimention. Instead of a red lip I used a fuchsia!
But it looks read in the pictures, I hope it looks more like fuchsia in the video! ^_^
And the smokey eye and nude lip for night time. For this look I applied MAC Grease Paintstick in Brown Now and color 4 onto my lid over the previous look and smoked it our with color 3 and 2 into and above the crease for a brown, taupey smokey eye. I added Zero Liner to my waterline and I also used Revlon's Soft Nude with NYX Sweetheart gloss on top as my lip color.
For both looks I used:
Model 21 Lashes on outter corners
MAC Spike Brow Pencil
MAC Light over Dark Minerlized Blush
Revlon Photoready Foundation
MAC Studio fix Powder
L'Oreal Lineur Intense Liquid Liner
MAC Grand Enterance into my tearduct area
Thanks for stopping by!
