Today I wanted to share a few tips with you on everyday foundation application, and show you my current daily foundation routine, and how I go about applying my foundation.
These are all basic tips to help you with preping your face for foundations, different types I use for different occasions, and how to get a flawless finish when applying them!
To be Organic, or Not to be Organic
It does seem crazy, doesn't it? But it is possible that your beauty products contain harmful chemicals. Scientific research continues to suggest that many common ingredients used in cosmetics and other personal- care products have toxic potential. And it may surprise you to know that the government does not regulate the safety of these products. With the exception of color additives (which are regulated by the FDA), cosmetic companies can use any ingredient they want without approval from the FDA. Just reading this post suggests that you are concerned about the possibility of toxins lurking in your beauty products. And though you may not be interested in natural or organic products, incorporating them into your beauty routine is one way to minimize your exposure to potentially harmful chemicals.
I think all of us cosmetic junkies have run into the pushy overbearing sales person at our favorite cosmetic counter. We all know they work on commission and they are just trying to earn their paycheck, but when you go to just have a look, or don’t know what to buy and are seeking their advice we shouldn’t have to worry about them taking advantage of us at the same time. We want to get what we want and not feel as thought we’ve been taken, and we want to leave satisfied and happy with the purchases we've made!

Understanding how color works is a very important step to know when going about makeup application. When going for "beauty makeup" or makeup to help your eye color and skintone stand out, you generally want the base color of your eye shadows looks to be complementary to your eye color and pigment of skintone.
So here are a few tips on how to understand the Color Theory when it comes to choosing cosmetics that will compliment you!
Have you ever thought about how long that powder, foundation, eyeliner, and especially mascara, have been in your makeup collection, vanity or purse?You should because cosmetic products could be breeding grounds for germs and bacteria. In turn you put that onto your skin, face and eye area and that can cause breakouts, infections and damage to your skin! Here are a few tips on how to care for your cosmetics.
Never touch or share your cosmetic products with anyone! And, no matter how much your sister or best friend pleads, do not share your cosmetic products with them. Just remember, their bacteria can contaminate you, too.
Estheticians and makeup artists are very careful when applying makeup to clients and the simplest and easiest way to handle your makeup, keep it clean, and not contaminate it is just don’t touch it with your bare hands.
Use tools to aid in the application of your cosmetics to insure that bacteria and infections don’t get into the product and contaminate the product. This will help your makeup last until its due date for expiration and it will help prevent you from transferring icky bacteria onto your face.
